And here it is … based upon the golf ball picture earlier downloaded from flickr.com let me introduce the new theme Golf Fanatic. Honestly speaking the creation of this one took me more time than hoped for up front. Anyway, I do hope that for some golf enthusiasts out there this Nokia e61 theme will lighten up their mobile. Any comments, just let me know.

You can download here.

BTW. I am planning to use this theme as a guidline for “Carbide.ui for dummies”

BTW. anyone knows a good golf scorecard application for the Symbian 3rd edition phones? I have used Intelligolf before, however, this one is not (yet?) released for the latest Nokia phones.

Just going through some pictures at flickr.com. The plan for creating a golf based theme was already there. Coming across the above picture is the first step as it should be possible to work with it. Keep you posted, and for any golf fanatic out there, I will try to make it “sweet”.

As yesterday already posted at e-series.org as a part of the weekly ‘Friday Themes’, please find my updated e61 meets Skype theme in a theme.

The theme is called Missing Skype eliminating the background from the earlier theme. In addition some small tweeks have been applied.

Following the ProfiMail theme in a theme, and some wishful thinking in terms of having (finally) Skype on our Symbian s60 3rd edition phones, the below theme has been created for the Nokia e61 and other Nokia e-series e61 meets Skype theme in a theme.

This theme is nice and small in terms of occupying the phone’s memory.

You can download here.

Inspired by one of the color shemes in ProfiMail the following theme has been created for the Nokia e61 and other Nokia e-series ProfiMail theme in a theme.

This theme offers high contrast and is nice and small in terms of occupying the phone’s memory.

You can download here.

YouTube.com, just acquired by Google for US$1.6 billion (=f…… amazing), in the meantime has also many e61 related posts.

Over the last weeks a theme competition was held earlier initiated at e61life.com. The winner of this competition was announced yesterday.

And the winner is … Kooky Phone Light by Valéry. Congratulations.

The good thing about this theme, as mentioned in earlier posts, is that it is simple and the background is not “messed up” with a too crowded picture. Good contrast, good readability.

You can download the theme here.

Push Mail (maybe I am wrong, but probably) started off with BlackBerry handheld and BlackBerry mail. Besides the fact that especially for corporate solutions BlackBerry is much too expensive, now having the Nokia e61 I cannot imagine BlackBerry RIM still being there in a few years from now … ;-)

Thus when I acquired my e61 I went out to look for a different and foremost cheaper solution. And I found. The solution is called Morange which also happens to be the company name of the young Singapore based enterprise.

What is Morange? Morange is a Java based application which works with most Java enabled phones, thus for sure with the e61. Although the primary function is push email, Morange offers a lot more :
