And here it is … based upon the golf ball picture earlier downloaded from flickr.com let me introduce the new theme Golf Fanatic. Honestly speaking the creation of this one took me more time than hoped for up front. Anyway, I do hope that for some golf enthusiasts out there this Nokia e61 theme will lighten up their mobile. Any comments, just let me know.

You can download here.

BTW. I am planning to use this theme as a guidline for “Carbide.ui for dummies”

BTW. anyone knows a good golf scorecard application for the Symbian 3rd edition phones? I have used Intelligolf before, however, this one is not (yet?) released for the latest Nokia phones.

That’s awesome- thanks. Don’t know why there’s not much golf themes/stuff around- i guess people think golfers are not techies… Have just installed. Hope to see a few more golf themes around!

    Great themes!
But there’s always a problem with themes with a dark background:
if you go in the input text box of java programs (like Opera Mini) the font color is always black and with a dark theme background you cannot see what you’re typing.

It would be cool if you can change the font color in java input text boxes…

    Thank you!!

    Roberto,

You are completely right. Bad news is … it is out of the control of the theme itself. The fact that you only have a problem with JAVA based programs is due to the fact that the text color is defined in the JAVA program itself. Would be nice if such applications would be smarter and adjust the font color to the theme. ;-)

This Golf theme is spectacular. Congratulations. My only problem with it is the reading of SMS messages (I am over 55 and require reading glasses): The highlight over the “From” information washes out the text and the white font makes reading of the text above the golf ball nearly impossible. Apart from that, truly a great design. Very best wishes & regards from the Philippines.

    Spectacular theme indeed. Thanks

We can’t blame the golf club manufacturers for targeting their most profitable market of right-handed golfers, but it is quite difficult for those golfers who play left handed to find the selection offered to the mainstream players.
