Next to a fanatic Nokia e61 user I like to play a round of golf. Already since I have bought the SonyEricsson P800 I have been using IntelliGolf, a cool application to track your score during your golf game. Since then I have been using this app on my Palm and many other mobile devices burning quite some license fee buying it again and again.
Planning a first golf game since the purchase of my brand new Nokia e61 back in September, I went onto the site of intelligolf.com to download the e61 version. My surprise, no version available for the Symbian s60 3rd edition platform. In fact no version available at all specific for Symbian phones other than a crappy Java version which only partially works.
I accepted the fact, and decided to wait … and wait … and wait … Today I went back and checked again and other than that crappy Java version now being promoted as a Nokia e61 version, nothing has changed. Still no s60 3rd edition or even a Symbian version available. Not a good job at all of the guys at IntelliGolf.
Thus after several months of waiting I have given up and after years of being a loyal customer to IntelliGolf I am ready to try a new application for my golf score tracking on my Nokia e61.
Appreciate any suggestions on available applications you might have come across so far? Thanks.

Long time intelligolf user, tired of the outrageous upgrade prices for no real upgrade and no syncable version for Symbian. So I purchased mscorecard (www.mscorecard.com). Sure it’s a a java applet but it actually allows you to fine tune the interface unlike intelligolf. Still not syncable but uploads rounds to a server or email to your foursome directly from the 18th green. Good enough for me…
Thanks. Tested the trial : indeed the Java app is much better already than the Microsoft of mobile score card software IntelliGolf ….
…. however, still it feels a bit …. it is just not it.
Thanks anyway, and I guess I keep looking.
Try out wireless18.com ; there software works well on symbian. Already progressed quite a lot but still no cigar.
I purchased mscorecard (www.mscorecard.com) and have now thoroughly tested it. Am very pleased with its functions and ease of use. Only problem is that the software is not yet optimized for the new E61 software - need to press the function key for every number that is being entered. Assume / hope that the developers will address this soon.
Good news: The mScorecard support team have sent me a response saying “The support for E61 keyboard will be included in the next version.” In fact, they shared a beta version with me and it works like a charm! And all this within 12 hours from contacting them!
Great to hear - we just “outdesign” IntelliSync.
Can you ask the mScorecard team if they are willing to release this B version to the readers of this blog. Will allow them to collect even more feedback on their app?
I am quite confident that they will: I suggest that you write to them at contact@mscorecard.com (they did not incidate any name in their e mail).
Best wishes

I have heard that the Nokia N series and E series phones version of intelligolf does not include desktop support. can anyone confirm this and what does it mean? I have ’surveyed’ a local course using the google earth and entering the gps coordiantes on the GPS form given by intelligolf and would like to load that on my phone. do you know if this is possible using the E61 or N76?
Got an answer to my question about desktop component working with Nokia Phone:

Sorry but our desktop component of IntelliGolf does not work with the Nokia version of IntelliGolf. We plan to have sync working between the two in a future release of IntelliGolf.
I wish this wasn’t the case. I wanted to by the software but now will have to spend $150 more for skycaddie
Hello, same peroblem looking for a nice and easy to use golf scorecard for my Nokia E90.
Not just to calculate my core but also to get via GPS distance from the pin.
Any suggestion?
With www.wegolf.net you have a easy to use scorecard, you can also enter GPS coordinates on the web. (From google / yahoo or any other maps) and download to your phone.
Well, I m still looking for a scorecard for my e90.
I need one with gps, with a desktop interface and no web database, i dont want to loose all my data if i stop paying the annual fee. Any suggestion?
The golf score card with GPS should also have statistics for different clubs. It should have a feature that you select a club and after a shot the program registers the length of the shot to the database. (It could also suggest a club after say 10 rounds of the same course
I’d like to use it with N93 and GPS
Hi, just got the N95 8GB from http://www.idealmobilephones.co.uk/ it has gps built in and so I want to use my copy of tomtom on it. Currently it’s on sd card for my XDA exec. Anyone know how to get it installed and working for my N95?
Great post, I really enjoyed it. I will have to bookmark this site for later.
