Ever since I have purchased my first Nokia e61 the catalogs feature actually never worked. When opened I get standard the message -No Catalogs. Select Options/Refresh list to download-. And after refreshing as instructed, no change, no list, and basically the same message keeps sitting in front of me. So far I have not really cared as I never felt I was missing anything. However, with Nokia releasing more and more applications through this channel, I start to wonder actually why this feature does not work. First I thought it was maybe an operator related issue, however, whether I try to update through GPRS or WiFi it does not seem to matter.
Anyone any ideas about this one? Just let me know.

The availability of the Catalogs app and the content inside it depends on your market area, operator, and device model. I don’t know about the details. Which operator do you have - could they want the Catalogs app to be disabled? Where do you live - could Nokia be afraid of your government?
Personally, I think most of the apps should be available *globally* through Catalogs. But that’s just me - and there are probably many issues in this case that I don’t understand.
Thanks Tommi.
The phone is used in China, just a small market for Nokia, right?
Multiple phones do not work, eg the Nokia e61 I bought in Europe and the one I bought in Singapore.
The catalogue feature was working fine on my E61 which I bought last November in India. I managed to download all the complimentary apps like WorldMate, GolfPro etc.
Strangely enough, none of the complimentaries were available after I upgraded the firmware to version 3.06. But I procured them nevertheless by contacting the developers. Only Golf Pro remains to be installed. I will soon be contacting Nokia Software Market for this.
