My brand new Nokia e90 communicator

Just returned from my Holiday in Thailand. During my holiday somehow my e61 fell a few times hitting concrete. Though it survived the first few times, after the 4th time it was clearly too much and my dear companion basically stopped working. As I never dropped it before (not completely true as I have wasted one e61 by dropping it in a pool), and looking back, I saw this as prophetic for the things to come. Travelling back from Thailand I was destined to buy as new phone. As I did not yet come across any Nokia e90 (not in China, not in Hk, and for sure not in Thailand) the plan was to treat myself with a brand new e61i. Traveling through Frankfurt airport I went out to buy my Nokia e61i. Entering the airport’s electronic shop I started to smile - I walked straight into a Nokia e90. Why Germany has it and the “rest of the world” not yet is a mistery to me, but anyway I got it though I have to get used to the fact that apparently the Germans put the “Y” where the “Z” is supposed to be. Anyway, just exploring the device and I will keep you posted on any progress / discoveries.

    Tell us what you think of the E90. The Net has been full of reports that veteran communicator users are not happy with the new device, and Nokia’s decision to port it to Series 60, 3rd edition. The latter, they feel, just doesn’t stack up to series 80 which was tailor made for ease of data entry. Keep us posted.

    Congratulations, I got mine since 2 months ago and it is great! I also had 9300i and for my opinion, it is better now having S60v3 because the amount of software you can find and I did not use Fax so .. enjoy it!

    I love my e90, having it 3 months now. I had a 9300 previously and while s60 is def. different from s80 I feel it is miles ahead of my very slow 9300. That said if the 9300 had a much faster processor I think that would have helped,plus wifi,camera,vibe feature, the list goes on. All in all E90 is rockin my world, and my best device to date. (imho of course)

    Igot my e90 almost a mth ago. no complain indeed although major adjustment from my previous experiece in using O2 PDA…I’m still learning but my only regret is not good support info this model in many place as not many good technical personnal in Penang…Who can help as u know it is not easy to communicate over the phone sometime !
